Självporträtt

I like to think about things. I also like to question things – sometimes just for the sake of it.

I nerd myself into some things. Other things I am extremely uninterested in.

I have also become a climate change aunt, despite mine so far, in the context, young age.

On this blog you can read most of what fits in my world of thought. From social criticism to beauty 40+ to embarrassing stories to…

Welcome! 🙂

It exists for – and disadvantages of most things. The Internet is, for example, On the whole, a wonderfully good thing. For me personally, the opportunity to buy stuff online is the very best. The range is so incredibly much larger. But there are disadvantages, especially with social media, which really, really bothers me.

The biggest advantage with social media is the ability to keep in touch with people without having to engage very much. I can stay up to date on people I have not met in many years without actually having contact with them. If it's really that interesting then know a thousand, dock. It's not like I hang out with them, and if social media did not exist, I would not engage in them at all.

So while it The biggest advantage is that you can reach many people with your message, regardless of whether it is about art / culture, political, religion or something else, then there is the opportunity to reach many. But that is also the biggest drawback. Partly because not everyone reaches quite as many as they would like, partly because it is so easy to spread incorrect information. Unfortunately, it is the case that many – most, I would say, are totally uninterested in finding out what lies behind a sender's message.

Social media creates also a kind of competition in who is the coolest. I do not think very many people are aware of that, but the one who has the most friends, most likes or the one who makes the most people cursed, is like the biggest and coolest. You also think the right things and are good at expressing them, you are even bigger and cooler.

Plus, of course, the here with the hugely shady mentality that arises online – mainly in social media. We take liberties we would never do face to face. Many pick out their most unpleasant sides, become self-righteous by just hell, become stingy, greedy, unpleasant, evil, unsympathetic and row with more unsympathetic properties. It's not very flattering, can I think.

And so it is here that everything can be sold. All knowledge can be sold – also knowledge that, at least in my eyes, should be available to everyone. But everything should cost, and I'm so terribly tired of it.

Don't get me wrong. Everyone has the right to earn a living – of course. But I'm tired of being constantly drenched in ads for the one and the third and the seventeenth. I'm tired of being drenched in opinions, in information on world disasters, disasters at home, things that are made worse than they are, celebrities' skin conditions and love life, to be constantly exposed to information stress in absurdum. And then I still avoid reading the news (except during periods when I can read relatively intensively).

It is for a lot of information, quite simply.

I am right passive on social media. I'm on Instagram, but basically never post any pictures. I'm on Twitter, but there I only post my blog posts – I'm never active. I'm on Facebook, and there I share most old memories or memes I think are funny. It is extremely rare that I write something personal. It's extremely rare I actually comment, neither personal posts nor posts with political / other content.

I'm serious considered leaving social media, more or less entirely. And then I mean delete my Facebook account, my Twitter account and my Instagram. But I also want to reach people with my blog posts, and then I lose the opportunity to do it in that smooth way.

Another reason Disliking social media is how time consuming it can be. If you want to stay up to date, it takes a good while to scroll through the flow. It's easy to get caught up in waste surfing, and if you get caught up in a conversation over Messenger, it's easy to stay seated for a while. Now that's my least problem, but still a fact. That is one of the biggest reasons why I stopped using ICQ for many, many years ago. I became addicted, quite simply.

And still sitting I'm here writing a blog post to share on social media. Although I in more ways than not, really dislike it.
