Självporträtt

I like to think about things. I also like to question things – sometimes just for the sake of it.

I nerd myself into some things. Other things I am extremely uninterested in.

I have also become a climate change aunt, despite mine so far, in the context, young age.

On this blog you can read most of what fits in my world of thought. From social criticism to beauty 40+ to embarrassing stories to…

Welcome! 🙂

For those who do not know – before I received sickness benefit, I worked as a photographer. Portraits and weddings for the most part, but has done some smaller exhibitions as well. In addition, I am a semester away from a bachelor's degree in art history with a focus on photography – image analysis, above all.

Min hund, Boyo, cirka 1½ år gammal.

My dog Boyo who is the one who has endured the most when it comes to exercising the camera since he came to me. 😀

For a bunch years ago, I held day courses in photography on a few occasions. On some occasions via Medborgarskolan or ABF, but also in-house. My courses are always about imagery and expression rather than how the camera works and which buttons to press to get a certain result. One of my previous course participants as at that time (it's probably around ten years ago) thought it was super scary to show their pictures, photoblogs have long been active on Fotosidan.se.

I have a long time considered running a couple of photography courses online, but for various checkered and striped reasons it has never happened. Now, though, I'm starting to think about doing it again, just because I can, have time, and that would be damn fun.

At the moment has I plan on two courses. A practical photography course with a focus on visual vision and visual language. A course in theory / method around image analysis and why it is so important to understand how and why we interpret photographs as we do. Source criticism also when it comes to images is very important today – especially considering that images are so extremely easy to take out of context and used in others.

It takes enough a moment or two before this is available. The plan is to have the courses here, on this domain. But I need to find a working platform to have them in, and also make it work. Plus the course material – obviously, need to be written together, and illustrations are also needed.

Men shit, What fun it feels to think about, suddenly.

It will come too to give me reason to dust off some art literature that is on my bookshelves. Have just had fun moving a bookshelf, so I know exactly how much dust is on top of and behind my books. But dusting off and reading some art literature again would do good for my intellectually starving brain.

Watch out, good people – I will return with gossip about how, where, when, why and so on. 🙂 I can already guarantee that it will be both interesting, developing and rewarding, regardless of which of the courses you are interested in.
