I like to think about things. I also like to question things – sometimes just for the sake of it.

I nerd myself into some things. Other things I am extremely uninterested in.

I have also become a climate change aunt, despite mine so far, in the context, young age.

Now I have tested and experimented a little more with my new eye shadows from Makeup Geek. They are a little different to work with than I am used to, so it will take some practice to get it just the way I want it. But after my first feeling of slight disappointment the other day, it's starting to pick up.

Above see you a picture of my homemade palette. I'm insanely happy with it when it comes to colors. One side is as neutral as it can get, while the other side has a little more fun colors. I'm a sucker for red, and am so incredibly happy that I managed to find a couple of shades of red I really like. Hot tamale is a bright bright red, while Berry shady is a darker pink. The bite is a really tricky color to describe – really dark maroon purple, perhaps? Think it will match a nail polish I have in a color reminiscent of it. And so of course a couple of different browns, as well as a medium gray (Clean slate) which I personally think is a little more gray mauve-ish, and which I have plans to experiment with eventually.

The first test I did you see in the middle of the pictures of me. There I used only the lighter shades, and it became the most neutral make up I have ever done on myself. I do not think I will do it very often, but I like to be able to, just in case I have the desire or need. This particular make-up did not have to be color-intensive or striking – the less, the better. Therefore, it was difficult to give any particular impression of the whole palette after just that.

I have devoted the last few days have been entertaining me with this palette, as you can see. The first colorful I made was the day after the neutral, and it was there and then that I felt a little disappointed. Big fallout, as well as many, many layers to get some kind of print and intensity in the colors. That was when I did as I usually do – eye primer with pads on top, and a light eye shadow as a base on top of it. This is what I do with all my other eye shadows, and it has worked great so far.

But I realized that I might need a different technology for the MUG shadows, so the next day I tested with primer, can, and then a thick, black eyeliner that I erased to get a little sticky for the eye shadows to attach to. And believe in hell – it got much better. Still fallout, dock.

With a little practice from my side this is going to be soooooo fucking asbestos. Should I use eye shadows with only primer (no pillows!) so I will have to practice this with blending. I am 45 years old and the skin on my eyelids is not completely manageable. Add to that the fact that I have large bags on my eyelids, so you can imagine how easy it is to get it nice. It's probably lucky for me that I like a little small-trashy look. 😀

Hot tamale shade, Moreover, is exactly the red color I thought of when I got the idea a few years ago that I would start putting on make-up. I wanted red and black – and now I have it. Plus a lot more, of course. But imagine that in the end I found exactly the red I wanted for several years. You have no idea how happy I am for that.

It should be otherwise not be difficult to figure out that I like eye shadow with pressure and intensity and which is a strong contrast to the rest of my face. I may be 45, but I'm far from dead. 😀 I want my make up to be visible, and that's exactly what I make sure it does. So am I., beyond, very happy that I chose the glasses I chose. They are much more neutral than my previous couple. In these glasses, the eye flavor does not disappear in the same way as in the others.

So now is I'm sick of buying another homemade palette from Makeup Geek. Will probably take a while before I can afford it again, but fasiken, what fun it is. If / when I do, there will be a focus on more brown – and green. Green is far from my best color, but I would like to have brown and green for days when I feel a little extra witty or woody. I have – of course, a pallet picked up in the shopping cart. But it will probably stay there for a while, because now I have other things I have to prioritize first.

But it is undeniably a good rating, that I want to buy more from there. 🙂 At the moment, I can highly recommend Makeup Geek. ♥
